We are very proud to be hosting
Recydrate the West 2008 in the beautiful
Mendip Hills in a conservation site and registered Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
(AONB).
The site is bursting with old breeds of wild herbs and flowers. Birdsfoot Trefoil,
Common Mouse-ear, Common Sorrel, Red Clover, Bugle, Bush Vetch, Meadow Vetchling
and Silverweed are among those native to the site. Yellow rattle grows on the west
side of the the site and other camping fields host Lady's Mantle, a high density
of Sweet Vernal Grasses, Red Fescue and Crested Dogstail.
We will have portaloos, urinals, drinking water and washing stations throughout
the entire site. Please do not pee in the hedges or ditches, and particularly not
in the streams - where it all ends up anyway and pollutes very badly.
A good selection of food outlets and shops will in designated areas within the site.
No unauthorised trading is allowed on the site and we will eject anyone found doing
so from the site.
If you would like to apply to trade, please use our contact
page
We will also be allowing other non-profit based organisiations to apply to run a
stall.
There will be no cash machine on the site so it would be good advice to bring enought
money for the whole weekend.
There will be no payphones available on the site. Please note Vodaphone appears
to be the only mobile network with any decent reception throughout the site.
We want to make sure everyone can attend Recydrate the West. We will be making provisions
around the site to enable access for all. We will provide those disabled ticket
holders who are in receipt of the middle or higher rate DLA with 1 free ticket for
a personal assistant. If you are eligible you will not need to buy your personal
assistant a ticket.
Once you have bought your own ticket you will need to contact us to get an application
form. You will need to provide us with the name of your Personal Assistant, and
attach a copy of your most recent DLA entitlement letter from the DWP.
Anyone who wishes to use the disabled facilities to contact
us. We do this to ensure we can accommodate everybody needs. Once you have secured
your ticket please contact us for the information and registration pack.
We cannot guarantee access to disabled facilities if you have not contacted us prior
to the event.
There will full Medical and First Aid serivces on the site. Please read the
